Whilst in New York last week (which was amazing) i visited the Main Victoria secret store, which featured a museum on the third floor. Showcasing some of its most prized costumes and pieces from the Victoria's secret fashion show and some of its most famous angels. I had no idea of the craftsmanship behind some of these amazing one off pieces of all different shapes and colours. Taking months at a time to create, some on a massive scale. Allowing an inside eye on the creation of some of these masterpieces allowed me to see this brand in a different light and gain respect for it in the sense its not any just a lingerie brand. Some of you may think i must have been living under a rock but i had no idea of the following it had, and the importance within the fashion industry. Touching upon all different cultural elements and styles. Every display with a description and background to read, some even with a video playing to give you an even further insight on design processes and even some showing you that very outfit walking down the runway by "The Victoria's Secret Models". Who i learnt don't all have wings every show, they gain their wings as an almost reward and acceptance. Which famous faces such as Kendall Jenner have recently received, which is said to be a big part of a models career. At the back of the museum was a small design studio which showed the making of a magnificent feather wing piece which was one of my favourites (second to a massive pair of black feather wings), i really enjoyed going around this exhibition when i thought i wouldn't be so keen as its not usually something i would do as I've never shopped in Victoria's secret in my life, i even treated myself to a pair of pants while i was there. Why not?
